Ms Laura & Ms Terri
The children have been hard at work this week rehearing for their performance of the Gruffalo story. They've also been making some costume items.
We hope you can join us for our performance during assembly on
Friday 27th March
2.30pm

This week Ms Laura brought in two male Australian Spiny Leaf Insects. The male stick insects have long slender bodies, with wings, and yes, they can fly! The children were fascinated by their amazing camouflage ability, and enjoyed watching them over the week.

The 1/2's have been doing a lot of imaginative play of late. From beauty salons, cafes, fashion shows, superheroes and cats and dogs. It has been encouraging to see the children playing with new friends and including each other in their games.

This week we have been using different materials in maths to represent numbers. The children have used icy pole sticks, bundled in groups of 10 to represent 2-digit numbers. They have also used different strategies to bridge to 10, including using 10 frames and number lines.

It was so fantastic that so many people were able to come along and enjoy our family picnic yesterday.

Wishing a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to:
