Faith Matters at
St Francis Xavier School
Dear St Francis Xavier Families,
Last Friday we prepared for Harmony Week, through our Whole School Prayer. We celebrated the beauty of God’s creation reflected in our diverse community. Pupils were reminded how every person is made in God’s image, and how our differences - culture, language, and traditions - are gifts to be cherished.
As Pope Francis reminds us, unity grows when we embrace others with love and compassion. By celebrating Harmony Week, we live our Catholic values, learning that together, in Christ, we build a community of peace, friendship, and belonging. Wasn't it great that Harmony Week coincided with our Welcome Picnic last night - a wonderful opportunity to enjoy one another's company in an atmosphere of fun and friendship.

SAVE THE DATE - SFX MOTHERS' DAY MORNING
This year, due to a very busy week, our SFX Mothers' Day Celebration will take place on
Tuesday, May 5th from 8:45am - 10:30am. The morning will commence with a special Mothers' Day Whole School Prayer. Following the prayer visitors will be invited to participate in a classroom activity with their child/children. Morning tea, for the adults only, will be served in the Red Centre.
We warmly invite mothers, grandmothers and any special women in the lives of our children to attend. Invitations and further details will go home later this term.

EASTER CELEBRATION
This year's Holy Week Easter Whole School Prayer will take place in the Red Centre at 2pm on Thursday, 2nd April, directly prior to the Showcase of Learning.
Every class will be participating in this special faith celebration and we welcome all families, Catholic and non Catholic to join us.
There will be no Whole School Prayer on Friday, 26th March.

Yours in faith,
Marion O'Brien
