Literacy: Synthesizing (the process of pulling together background knowledge, newly learned ideas, connections, inferences and summaries into a complete and original understanding of the text)

Learning intention: To synthesize information from multiple sources to form a clearer understanding on a particular topic.

Task:

To use a graphic organiser to record information for the purpose of synthesiszing a text. Record all you already know about the ANZACs or ANZAC Day.
Use the websites provided to read more about the topic. Add new information to what you already know about the topic.
Use your prior knowledge and new information to record your new understanding of the topic.

“I knew that ANZAC stood for Australian New Zealand Army Corps. I now know over 23,000 Australian soldiers were wounded during WW1.”
