Student Reflections: “I knew … about ANZAC day and I now know…

I knew that ANZAC stood for Australian New Zealand Army Corps. I now know over 23,000 Australian soldiers were wounded during WW1.”
I knew Australians commemorate ANZAC day. I now know New Zealand also commemorates ANZAC day.”
I knew that there is a dawn service at the shrine. I now know they wear poppies and rosemary to remember the lost soldiers.”
I knew ANZAC Day was on the 25th April. I now know that before WW1, Australian soldiers trained and prepared for war in Egypt.”
I knew we always had a public holiday on ANZAC day. I now know that the ANZACS landed in Gallipoli on the 25th April, 1915.”
I knew that ANZAC day is on the same day every year. I now know that everyone who fought at Gallipoli wears an “A” badge to show they were ANZACS.”
