Intermediate Ultimate Frisbee team are Kingston District Champions

Congratulations to the very enthusiastic intermediate Ultimate Frisbee team for going undefeated in the round robin, to take out the title of Kingston District Champions.

Well done to the boys futsal, girls indoor soccer and the boys and girls basketball teams for also competing on the day. All students were great sports and fantastic ambassadors for the college. A special mention must go to Oscar Merrick for scoring from well behind the basketball halfway line as the buzzer sounded-even the opposition team joined in the celebrations!

Thanks to Mr Paterson, Ms Hulley, Mr Clark, Mr Christopoulos, Mr Sawers and Ms Biondo for giving up time to coach teams during lunch and both before and afterschool.

Athletics team competes in District Championships

Over 50 members of our athletics team braved the cold and rain to take part in the Kingston District Athletics Championships at Duncan McKinnon on 29 August. Having been selected to compete following our college athletics competition back in term one, the team were super keen to have a great day. As you will see in the table below, that's exactly what they did!

A special congratulations to Archie Mattsson for being awarded 14 boys Age Group Champion. 

A huge thankyou to Ms Carter, Ms Trease, Matt McGannon, Brendan Dower and Mr Atkins for taking the team on the day. Southern Zone Finals will be held on Thursday October 6 at Casey Fields Regional Athletics Centre.

Table tennis coaching

The Greater Dandenong Table Tennis Association is providing a free night of table tennis for junior players on any Friday night which includes:

• a 2 hour coaching session, which involves training with the Dandenong junior squad from 5.20 pm to 7.20 pm
   
• participation in the Dandenong junior pennant from 7.30 pm to 9.00 pm
