University Open Days are late July to August. A flyer was handed out to all Year 10, 11 and 12 students. Come to the Senior School Office if you need a flyer. It is a great opportunity to find out about new courses and pathways into various courses. Current students are on hand to talk to and there are often various information sessions held throughout the day. Year 10 Work Experience
June 25 to 29 - What a fantastic week our Year 10s had on work experience! Everything from Media, Legal, Interior Design, Childcare, Scientific research, Medical, Automotive and Retail, just to mention a few.
Many students were visited by GEC staff. It was great to see them so happy experiencing what it is like in the workforce. A few were offered part-time jobs from their placements which was pleasing.
Please see our pictures of some of these visits!
Any parent that could host a Year 10 on work experience at their work place would be appreciated. It is not always easy finding suitable and varied placements. Please contact the Careers Office if you can offer a placement in 2019.
