PRESENTATION NIGHT REHEARSALS

Congratulations to all the teachers and students for their energy and effort in ensuring our College Presentation Night ran as smoothly as possible and was thoroughly entertaining. After many hours of practice and fine tuning, students were able to confidently step on stage and deliver some of the finest performances the College has ever seen. Well done everyone, it was an amazing night!

YEAR 5 STUDENTS LOVE THEIR MOSAIC ART

Year 5 students ended their year in Art by completing their mosaics.

Many came to the Art Room for several lunchtimes in order to complete their work completed in time.

The students designed a mosaic based on a leaf shape, then selected a colour combination, cut all of the tiles, glued them on and used grout to complete the task.  A messy, but satisfying task!

2020 COLLEGE POSTER COMPETITION

THEME for 2020:

'TREASURE THAT LASTS'

Bible Verse:

Matthew 6:19-21

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

What is your Heavenly Treasure?

Please reflect on the College verse for 2020, create an A4 artwork (portrait orientation) and then enter it by the end of Week 2, Term 1 to Mrs Tamie Dekker. The best entry will be announced at the Dedication Service on Monday 17th February. The winning entry will be displayed throughout the College for the year.

Happy Creating,

PASSION PROJECTS TO THE END

It has been a busy end of year for Middle School Artists with Transition Day, Future Focus and Presentation Night Rehearsals. However the students of St Andrews Christian College have stayed strong right to the end of the year.

I am so impressed by the way students are showing consideration of others and modelling 'Faithfulness', 'Devotion to Growth' and 'Servant Hearts'!

Keep Creating,
