FUTURE FOCUS 2019
Future Focus 2019 was launched at the 1000 steps in the Dandenong Ranges on 29th November.
The day began with all Year 7 and 8 students enthusiastically ascending the 1000 steps. On reaching the summit, we were warmly greeted by our student leaders, handing out lollies as we soaked in the magnificent view of the Ranges.
About an hour later as we descended, exhausted and famished, we were pleasantly welcomed by the aroma of sizzling sausages and a delicious BBQ meal prepared by the PFA. There was ample food and drinks to go around, and we had so much fun hanging out and chatting with our friends, as we satiated our hunger and quenched our thirst.
It was a wonderful start to the Future Focus program! In the following weeks Year 7 & 8 students were engaged in a variety of enriching and exhilarating electives ranging from Robotman to Chocolate Making, in addition to a number of fun-filled excursions with thrilling activities such as kayaking, riding the gravity wave, racing in drift cars and rock climbing – not to mention the exciting sports electives, future coaching and career counselling!
This was an enriching and fun week, and the Year 7 and 8 students want to thank the school for this amazing privilege.
