Basketball Gala Day
On Wednesday 20th of June, Year 6 students took part in the Mordialloc District Basketball Gala Day. Kingswood was represented by a boys and girls team, who competed with pride against nine other schools. The boys team were victorious in all four of their round-robin matches. Unfortunately, we narrowly lost in the final against Parkdale, coming runners-up overall. The girls finished 5th in their pool, and showed terrific spirit throughout the day.
Congratulations to all students who participated, a big thank you to all the parents who came and supported the students.
Raena – Cross Country
On Thursday 21st June Raena (4N) competed in the Regional Cross Country Carnival. Raena has been dedicated to her training and shows a huge amount of determination to succeed with her running. All of this hard work has paid off as she finished in 6th position which earned her a spot at the State Cross Country Championship early next term!
We are all very proud of Raena’s achievements and wish her the best of luck at the State Championships.
5/6 Winter Gala Day
On Friday 22nd June all of our Year 5 & 6 students participated in the Mordialloc District Winter Sport Gala Day. The sports played over the day were Soccer, AFL, Netball, T-Ball and Volleystars. All students represented the school brilliantly and had a very fun day.
A special mention goes to the T-Ball team who finished runners-up and the Netball Girls team who finished champions and will now go on to play the winners of the Cheltenham District.
Well done everyone!
