Sport
TERM 1
The ultimate goal of the DSC Sport Program is to provide an inclusive and supportive environment for students to participate in sports that they love and sports that they may even be trying for the first time. We focus on using sport as a vessel to support the development of various traits that we would love for all of our students to possess including respect, resilience, responsibility and teamwork. Although our sports teams may compete against neighbouring schools, we never measure our success on pennants and medals, instead we look at our contribution to the personal growth of our students from when they arrived as Year 7s to when they leave in Year 12.
We would like to congratulate all students that have participated in the DSC Sport Program throughout the first five weeks of the school year. It is amazing to think of the amount of sport we have already packed into such a short period. It has also been amazing to hear so many stories from opposition players and staff members, parents, referees and bus drivers highlighting the positive behaviour our students have been showcasing while competing at the various sports days.
