The Open Girls Cricket team opened their campaign this week with two wins. On Monday Wagga Wagga High School unfortunately forfeited due to low numbers. Players from both teams were happy to combine and play a practice match, which was enjoyed by all. On Wednesday The Riverina Anglican College played Mater Dei Catholic College. After losing the toss and being sent out to bat, we were all run out for 77 runs. Mater Dei replied with 68.
Highlights of the match include Lucy Bennett - 14 runs, Sophie Bruckner - 3/7, Zoe Jenkins - 1/3 and fantastic fielding by all players.
The girls play again on Monday 26th October against Kildare Catholic College.
