Junior School

It’s been a busy term in the Junior School. Our students are busily preparing for one of the highlights of the calendar – Grandparents Day, which is scheduled for the end of this term.

The Springwood Campus will hold Grandparents Day on Thursday, 7th April. The day will include a concert, book fair, open classrooms and a picnic. Students can’t wait to host their grandparents and show them all about their learning.

The Wentworth Falls Campus will hold Grandparents Day the following day, on Friday, 8th April. The day will be similar, but will begin with a whole school Easter celebration on the sloping lawn below Coorah House (weather permitting – we’ll use the Sports Centre in the event of rain). All students from both Junior School campuses, and the Senior School students, will gather with staff, parents and grandparents to celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus. After a delicious morning tea, grandparents can then participate in the concert, book fair, open classrooms and picnic at Wentworth Falls.

Despite the continuing challenges of COVID 19, we are committed to connecting with our school community. This morning I met with some parents at Kedumba Gallery, and I have spoken this week with representatives of the ‘Parents and Friends Association’ who are planning fundraising and school community events from Term 2 onwards. I encourage all parents to get involved however time allows, and look forward to deeper connections as the year continues.
