The Biscuit Slice

Throughout the first part of Term 1 we have been taste testing a combination of ingredients to refine both our palette and the potential ingredients for our first cook: The Biscuit Slice. 

In preparation for the students to head to the Junior School to prepare our individual biscuit slice. The students had to decide two or three different ingredients to add to their biscuit and, as this is Design & Technology, it was planned that everyone's biscuit slice would follow the design process to make them individual.​

We then went down and melted chocolate, crushed, cut and smashed our ingredients to create our Biscuit Slice.

After our slices were chilled in the fridge we were able to slice it up and taste our creations; which on the most part were delicious.

We then evaluated our creations to then refine the recipe for future cooks.

We had a fantastic experience making biscuits for the first chocoholic masterpiece and looking forward to designing our chocolate block.
