New Faces

Mr Andrew Moore - Instructional Leader Health and PE

It's great to be back at Nazareth College and this time as Instructional Leader of Health and PE. I previously worked at Nazareth in 2014 and 2015. Since then, I have worked at St Peter’s College in Cranbourne. Last year I took my family on a 12-month adventure in a caravan up the East Coast of Australia, with highlights being snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef and Great Keppel Island, the QANTAS Founder’s Museum and Stockman’s Hall of Fame in Longreach and teaching my kids how to fish, ride, skate, swim and surf. I also worked the second half of the year at St Brendan’s Yeppoon. Top spots I would recommend are Port Stephens NSW, the Sunshine Coast QLD and Byron Bay NSW. My sporting passions are barracking for Carlton in the AFL and Liverpool in the EPL. I also like to travel and have walked a third of the Camino to Santiago de Compostela, Spain.

Mr Joshua Cowan - Humanities

Hi my name is Josh, I come to Nazareth after working at Mazenod College and Ashfords Accountants & Advisory.

I am a Business Management, Accounts and Humanities teacher.

Outside of teaching I am currently the Head Coach of the Melbourne Vipers in the Australian Volleyball League. I also try and chase the football around at St Bedes/Mentone.

I look forward to meeting some of you in the coming weeks.

Mrs Jyotsna Kashyap - Lab Technician

I am Jyotsna Kashyap but you can call me Jessie. I joined Nazareth as lab tech and feel privileged to work in the new Science Building with Maree. I have 3 years of experience working in Science lab of Secondary College in Melbourne.

I am from India. I have done my Masters in Plant Genetics and have worked in R&D sector for five years in India as Technical Officer.

I have a young family of two daughters and a caring and workaholic husband. I enjoy cooking, trying out different cuisine. I love to go on drives and explore new places, especially beaches.

Ms Sarah Elijah - Drama/Media

My name is Sarah Elijah and I’m new to Nazareth College this year. My subject methods are Media and Drama. This year I will direct the school production of Seussical which is a high energy and upbeat musical based on the book of Dr. Seuss. I’m very passionate about media, in particular film and video as previously I’ve worked as a video editor before I was a teacher. I have experience in community theatre as a singer, dancer and actor. Other interests include cooking, gardening, DIY, and spending time with friends and family.
