Grandparents Day and Term 3 Family Mass - SUNDAY 23RD JULY

Save the date for our Grandparents Day and Term 3 Family Mass! Students will be bringing home invitations this week. Please forward these on to grandparents or any other family members who would like to join.

REMINDER - Please send through a photo of your child with their grandparents to be included in the Mass slides and in the Church to myself or Mrs Gravina.

NAIDOC Week

NAIDOC Week is a time to honour and celebrate the history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. It provides an opportunity for all Australians to come together, learn, and appreciate the rich contributions of our First Nations people.

STMM will be celebrating this in Week 1 of Term 3. Students will be completing tasks in class throughout the week and there will be a special assembly on Friday 21st July at 2:40pm. Additionally, students are asked to wear red, black and yellow clothes on this day.

On Sunday 2nd July, there will be a special mass lead by Archbishop  Anthony Fisher at the Reconciliation Church. Everyone is welcome to attend.

While we may be on school holidays during the official NAIDOC Week, I encourage our students and their families to embrace the spirit of celebration and acknowledgment. Take the time to engage in conversations and participate in local events that promote the values of NAIDOC Week.

Confirmation

On Wednesday the 21st of June, 11 students from Year 6 made their Sacrament of Confirmation. It was wonderful to see families and friends gather to celebrate our Confirmation Candidates. It would not have been possible without Bishop Umbers, Father Pat and Father Michael who said the mass, Ms Courtenay and Mrs Jory who read and prepared the students so beautifully and all the staff who came to support our students.

Scroll across and see the smiling faces.
