2023 StMM Vinnies Winter Sleep out

What a fantastic experience on Friday evening for the StMM Winter Sleep Out. We prayed together, Mrs O’Donnell shared stories and information about homelessness, the children ate noodles for dinner and together with parents, we created four blankets for donation to St Vincent de Paul. Students then had the opportunity to be silent outside under the stars to experience first hand the effects of homelessness. I am sure all who participated will agree it was a humbling experience. Thanks to all parents who assisted on the night, with special mention to two of our our clever Dad’s, Derek Recio and Graeme Lay who lead two of the teams making some fine blankets! St Vincent de Paul will collect our Winter Appeal snack packs and the blankets from St Margaret Mary’s this Friday morning. Congratulations to all involved!

St Vincent de Paul Winter Appeal

Thank you to our amazing Faith and Justice leaders - Claire, Joshua, Caitlin and Daisy who assisted packaging the Winter Appeal snack packs. We managed to create a record 136 snack packs which will be collected by SVdP this Friday 30th June, 2023 together with the blankets made by the children and parents who participated in the School Winter Sleep Out last Friday evening.
