Art for Impact: Circular Casey Youth Portrait Competition
Go into the draw to win $500 EFTPOS voucher and create your own solo exhibition at Bunjil Place!
The City of Casey is calling on creative young people aged 16-25 years with a passion for environment, technology and innovation to help us share the story of the Circular Casey initiative and enter the Art for Impact: Circular Casey Youth Portrait Competition.
The winner of the Art for Impact: Circular Casey Youth Portrait Competition will receive a $500 EFTPOS voucher and will be invited to curate a portrait exhibition* of our Circular Casey environment heroes during the Innovation Festival in November 2023.
*The City of Casey will support and fund the curation of the exhibition, and the winner will be invited to curate portraits of our seven Circular Casey living lab partners. Completed portraits and their stories will be exhibited during the Innovation Festival in November at Bunjil Place!

CELEBRATING NATIONAL CAREERS WEEK
Careers Week 15th- 19th May
On Thursday 18th May Year 10 students participated in a Careers Day involving a guest speaker- Tyson Day, Industry Showcase with 30 industry exhibitors sharing their industry knowledge and expertise, interview tips and tricks and a panel of HPSC alumni.
On Friday 19th May all year 10 students participated in 1:1 Mock Interviews with industry volunteers. This was a great experience for many students that have never had a job interview before.
Thank you to AQUA METRO for kindly sponsoring our industry showcase and to our staff, volunteers and alumni that donated their time to assist.

EARLY ENTRY PROGRAMS
Early entry programs enable universities to make course offers to Year 12 students based on factors other than just the ATAR.
You can apply for as many early entry programs as you like. Year 12 students are encouraged to meet with their career adviser to map out the best early entry programs to apply for based on their course interests.

AUSTRALIAN FEDERAL POLICE
2024 Directions Program
Applications are open for the 2024 Directions Program, an integrated 12-month employment and development program for people of First Nations background. Successful applicants will get to work in a variety of roles including canines, investigations, media, cyber security, intelligence and more. The program is open to First Nations individuals aged 18 or older, with applications closing Sunday 28 May, https://bit.ly/42IE6VW
AUSTRALIAN DEFENCE FORCE
Current Year 12 students can apply for a 12- month position in the Air Force, Army, or Navy
to begin in 2024. There are 18 roles on offer, including military police, airbase security, electronics engineer, chef, administration assistant, and maritime warfare officer. To explore options and start your application, visit www.defencejobs.gov.au
DEPARTMENT OF HOME AFFAIRS GAP YEAR OPPORTUNITY
Are you in Year 12 and not sure what you want to do next?
Spend an exciting 12 months, where you'll not only get paid to carry out meaningful and important work that improves the lives of all Australians but also gain life-changing skills.
The Department of Home Affairs offers a 12-month gap year to Year 12 and 13 students graduating in 2023. The Gap Year Program will commence on the 19 February 2024 with positions offered in dynamic teams to support the processing and administration of fast paced and essential business areas within the Department.
These are entry level administrative roles – no past work experience or ATAR is required. All training will be provided. Salary: $54,439.00 to $61,245.00

2024 NATIONAL YOUTH SCIENCE FORUM (NYSF)
Love STEM?
Want to engage in a life changing experience? You should consider applying for the NYSF. This is a two-week on-site and digital program where students are immersed in
