Quote you live by: “Love yourself enough to not tolerate disrespect & disloyalty” & “Train yourself to be able to bounce back into reality”.

Who do you look up to and why? I look up to my brother, he has shown time and time again that whatever life throws at you, you can get through it with a lot of motivation and a lot of self-care He picked me up and motivated me to keep my head high and to always remember that I can do anything if I put my mind to it.

What is a piece of advice you would give to other students? Remember to make your work fun in your own way and pick subjects that you actually enjoy, also remember to work on having a positive mindset because it’s important to believe that you can get through anything with the right attitude and mindset.

Multicultural Assembly/Showcase

My experience performing on multicultural day was very surprising, only because of the amount of stress and work put in with the Pasifika choir performance paid off. Being a lead singer for a choir as well as being a role model for the younger year levels in our group was challenging but fun. The Pasifika choir had chosen to do a Maori song called Aotearoa, which was about embracing their culture and being proud of their country. I enjoyed celebrating my fellow peer’s cultures/performances and embracing my own. The night of Multicultural assembly was a night to remember, the audience were very respectful of everyone’s performance, and we had A LOT of families in the crowd cheering the students on. It was a very good experience overall and personally I hope next year is even better!
