Presentation Ball

For the last 36 years, Cranbourne Secondary College has held an annual Presentation Ball, and this years 37th event was held at the Grand on Princes on the evening of Friday 4th August. This is a very formal event, where some 14 Year 11 and 12 couples, attired in elegant white long gowns and black tails, were presented to our two local sitting City of Casey Mayfield Ward Councillors, Cr Amanda Stapledon and Cr Gary Rowe. In Keeping with school tradition, each of the couples was introduced by two senior student leaders, Stella Fili and Sene Smalley. They had been expertly trained by Rad and Glenn Foote, who train similar groups in over 30 schools, to dance a segued set of three dances for a continuous 20 minute bracket, complete with lifts, twists and multiple turns. The large gathering of parents, friends and staff were all suitably dazzled by their dancing finesse. The whole evening was overseen by Ross Huggard, Senior School Leader, who again acted as Master of Ceremonies, whilst Karie Hullin, Year 11 VCE Co-ordinator, coordinated the whole event. This is a very special and memorable evening for all concerned, and will again be offered to all Year 11 and 12 students in 2018. Details will be released during Headstart for those who may be interested.
