2nd Year Hospitality Students

Cranbourne Secondary College - Hospitality Class

Our 1st and 2nd year hospitality students have had a very exciting few weeks. They have started producing meals for the local Cranbourne food truck that supplies food for free to those in need in the Cranbourne area 4 nights a week.

  • This give the students a purpose and it helps them to gain their service hours for Hospitality.
  • Volunteering also looks amazing on their resumes and they will receive a certificate later this year in recognition of the work they have done for the Food Truck.
  • They have done an incredible job so far and I am very proud of them.

The Cranbourne Food truck is situated as follows:

  • Monday, Wednesday and Saturday the truck is parked opposite the Lylle street bus stop from 6pm to 8.30 pm
  • Friday night opposite Cranbourne west coles.
  • The Food Truck is run by local volunteers who help support the community

Fareshare visit

The Hospitality students also visited Fareshare in Abbotsford, another volunteer organisation that produces food for those in need.

  • The students worked in the Fareshare Hospitality kitchen produced 1464 vegetarian rolls. Fantastic effort.
  • Packed 1200 quiches
  • Filled 1200 quiche trays with pastry for the nest shift
  • Again amazing work and I am very proud of them for helping others in need
  • Our students excelled themselves

Thank you
