Parents face many challenges in raising happy, well, and resilient young people. Whilst there is a great deal of information available, this can often be confusing and overwhelming as you look for help and guidance. Good News Lutheran College with support from Lutheran Education Victoria subscribes and provides parents with a free and amazing resource called SchoolTV. This online resource is designed to empower you with credible and sound information with realistic, practical ongoing support strategies.

 

This site provides you with information on topics such as;

  • Cyber Safety – Internet addiction, Online pornography, Social Media and digital reputation, Sexting and Cyber bullying
  • School Survival – School refusal, School transitions
  • Healthy Body – Mindfulness, Sleep, Body image, Eating disorders, Physical activity and exercise, Diet nutrition
  • Positive Parenting – Raising Girls, Raising Boys, Happiness and gratitude, Resilience, Blended Families and Positive Parenting

Also, SchoolTV through Deakin University is conducting a national study to measure the impact on youth mental health. The goal is to better understand how to support communities and empower confident parenting. We invite anyone who is willing to help to participate in the survey. Survey registrations will close on Sunday, 12th March, 2023.
