Ministry and Care

Chaplain Joshua Hauser

As families, students, and staff in a P-12 school, we are all on a journey of growth and development. But this journey is not meant to be taken alone. As Christians, we are called to grow together as a community, with Jesus as our foundation.

In Acts 2:42-47, we see the early Christian community living and growing together in unity. They were devoted to learning from the apostles, to fellowship, to breaking bread, and to prayer. They were a community that grew stronger in their faith because of their shared commitment to Jesus.

In our school community, we too can grow together in unity by following the example of the early Christians. We can commit ourselves to learn from the teachings of the bible, building relationships with all people and departments, and praying together.

One of the key relationships we have is with the church that is connected to the college,

the Wyndham Hobsons Bay Lutheran Church.  I would like to make sure everyone is aware of Pastor Mark Tuffin.  He is the current Pastor of the church and is someone who has supported our college a lot already during his brief time in his role. One of his focuses is to continue to build a relationship with the college. We would love to invite you to any of the services that occur each Sunday, 9:30am. Here is the website if you want more information.

Let us pray:

Dear God, we thank you for the opportunity to grow together as a community in our P-12 school setting. Help us to commit ourselves to following your teachings, building relationships across grade levels and departments, breaking bread together, and praying for one another. May our school be a place of love, hope, and grace, where we can grow in our faith and support one another on our journey.

In Jesus' name, Amen.
