Harmony Week

Harmony Week is a week-long celebration of diversity and inclusivity that will take place from Monday 20 March to Friday 24 March (Week 8 Term 1). During the week, students, staff, and families of Good News Lutheran College (GNLC) can be involved in special activities that celebrate diversity and help us understand, respect, and appreciate people of all backgrounds and cultures.

The week-long activities include:

  • A non-uniform day on Monday 20 March with an invitation for students and staff to wear either the national dress from their country of origin, or something orange to acknowledge the multicultural community of GNLC. A whole school parade will be held on the oval from 9.00am to 10.00am. Families are welcome to attend and watch the festivities!

  • The College Canteen will offer a variety of special international foods on various days

  • Lunchtime concerts and performances will be held

  • Students can be involved in a poster, music, or social media competition

  • The fence along Tarneit Road will be decorated in orange to showcase to the general public who pass our gates each day that we support ‘Living in Harmony’ at GNLC.

We look forward to sharing more with you about Harmony Week!
