Attendance

Schools are required to have a reason for all student absences. Any time your student is away from school it must be explained and recorded.

Please remember to record all days that your child/ren are absent from school.

Check your child’s attendance on Compass (see below if unsure how to do this)… do you have any unexplained absences? If so, please add an attendance note. 

This can be done by:

• Compass (see below for more information on how to do this)
• Calling the office on 5341 3560
• Emailing the school at buninyong.ps@education.vic.gov.au 

While there is an expectation that all students should attend school every day, there are going to be times where illness or an unavoidable appointment gets in the way.

Your parent Compass portal allows you to enter absence data for your child should they be away from school. 

There are a couple of ways to use the Compass portal to record and check your child’s attendance at school. If there ever is a concern, please just contact the school office who will be very happy to help.
