Endeavour House News

Our first full term has been completed in boarding for 2020 and what a year it has been so far. The Endeavour girls have been very busy this term and it seems they are all ready for a restful holiday. More than half of our Endeavor girls played hockey this year. On the night when it was GSG Blue vs GSG Red, we went in the bus to watch. We are looking forward to the sun shining next term so we can get the girls out and about for more recreation activities.

Year Seven Dinner

The night the Year Eight girls were camped in the GSG paddock, the Year Seven girls and I went out to dinner. We went to Due South and enjoyed pizza; it was a lovely night. The following day all our Year Seven group from Endeavour agreed to go over to Day School after school and help Amy Medway to complete her painting school benches project as part of the VACS programme. It is nice to see our boarders supporting each other.

Boarding's Got Talent

The Endeavour girls enjoyed the changed format of Boarding’s Got Talent (BGT) this year. Traditionally each house has prepared a performance and a winner had been decided by a panel of judges. This year it was decided to hold a progressive style dinner event. Each house chose a country and decorated the area, and prepared food and a game from that country. The girls had it all in hand with Endeavour looking French chic. Quiche and cupcakes were made throughout the week and decorated on Sunday. Thanks to Chef Nick for making quiche with the girls and to Mrs Freeman for decorating the cupcakes and house.

Happy Birthday

Happy birthday to Tyla Climie who celebrated her birthday at the end of August. There were no September birthdays in Endeavour. We look forward to celebrating with Ruby Rae, L’eja Pigram and Lysbeth Cunningham in October; Georgia Williams and Eilidh Kershaw in November; and when we have all finished school for the year, Charlie Ritchie and Joy Blurton celebrate their birthdays. We usually conclude the year by going out to dinner together.

Care Bags

Thank you to everyone for their generous donations of items for the Care Bags. Brianna Cunningham initiated this collection through her Guides service area, and everyone supported it in what was an incredible number of bags filled with goods donated. Thank you.

Miss Hearle

Hi everyone, my name is Sarah. I graduated from GSG last year and am having a gap year before beginning my studies at university next year. I love getting out and about and enjoying the sunshine. I enjoy playing hockey as well as coaching younger teams and lifeguarding throughout the summer months. I’m looking forward to getting to know the girls and being able to create lasting relationships to assist them during their boarding experiences. I am in Endeavour every second Sunday.

Enjoy your time and we will see you all next term.
