Recreation News

In the second half of Term Three, Eclipse House went out for a game of paintball on a Sunday afternoon. From all reports they had a very enjoyable time and from the looks of Mr Goggins’ head when he got back, they hit their target a few times at least. Other activities undertaken in the last few weeks of the term were walks on the boardwalk at Middleton Beach, a swim at Emu Point and Middleton Beach, and a trip to the movies.

The final activity for the term was Boarding’s Got Talent which was held in each of the boarding houses on the last Sunday night before the holidays. All the students and staff put in a lot of effort to prepare and serve delicious meals to their guests as they rotated around each house. Each house also had a physical challenge for their guests to complete that included dancing, bocce, mini golf, darts, building the highest tower of wooden blocks and a hot-sauce eating competition.

It was an entertaining and enjoyable evening and a great way for the students to socialise with other students from outside their boarding house. Well done to everyone involved in organising and participating in the event and congratulations to Breaksea House for taking out the Boarding’s Got Talent cup for 2020.
