Premier Ensembles Concert

Well done to the College’s Premier Ensembles who commenced the 2023 Performing Arts program in an evening of high-quality music last Thursday evening in the Draney Theatre. The pictures taken capture some special moments of what promises to be another successful year of engaging performances.

In 2023, Marist College Ashgrove commences a new era with the integration of Co-curricular Arts Performances across multiple platforms. We look forward to a range of projects across the Arts space with physical and digital performances throughout Brisbane, Southern Queensland, and the world.

 

Thursday 16 March, Autumn Concert - Draney Theatre

6:30pm| Draney Theatre

As we feel the chill slowly creep into the Ashgrove air, we celebrate the musical advent of Autumn through our intermediate ensembles. This entertaining concert will feature Wind Orchestra 2, Guitar Orchestra 2, Performance Choir, Percussion Ensemble 1, Senior Strings and a special guest artist.

Thursday 23 March, Year 5 Musical

Times: Session 1 – 5:00pm, Session 2 – 6:00pm | Draney Theatre

Join the Year 5 cohort of 2023 for their musical production of ‘Joust’. Imagine a world where all weapons were replaced by musical instruments! Welcome to the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table like you've never seen it or heard it before. On guard! This 35-minute medieval marvel, complete with jousting knights, delightful damsels, and court jesters, is an event not to be missed.

Thursday 30 March, Combined Choral Concert – Pemulwuy Prelude Concert 3

6:30pm | Draney Theatre

Celebrating male singing across South-East Queensland, Pemulwuy Prelude anticipates the National Male Voice Festival held in July. Featuring several external choir groups joined by our very own Marist Choirs.

 

Tickets $10 Adult $5 school aged child, Free children under 5.
