Acknowledgement of Country

We acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung People of the Kulin nation; past, present and those who will walk with us into the future.

We acknowledge the rich and unique cultural and spiritual relationships to the land, waters and seas, educational practices and the hopes of all First Nations Peoples. We do this in the spirit of reconciliation as we move to a place of justice and partnership - together we work, learn, play and care for one another and this land.

Market Day

The Year 5 and 6 Market Day was an amazing success and personally, it was one of the absolute highlights of our school year.

The opportunity for students to use literacy and numeracy skills in a creative, entrepreneurial, and strategic way was both engaging and fun.

I was so proud of the teamwork and effort that was displayed and the products and services on offer were of a really high standard.

I know that our younger students will be looking forward to future Market Days. It is a wonderful tradition at Kalinda and a great part of their learning.

Book Day

A huge thank you to all the staff and students (and all the parents who helped make costumes) for making an amazing effort to dress up for Book Day this year. It was so much fun and a great way to celebrate the magic, imagination, and fun that comes with reading.

I hope your children are inspired and excited to think about what they will dress up next year!

On leave

From next Tuesday 5th September until the end of term I will be on leave as I am heading over to Japan for a family holiday and to visit family.  Mrs Hopkins will be leading the school during this time.

Wishing everyone a lovely end to the term and thank you for the continued engagement and support for your children's learning and wellbeing.

Enrolling for 2024

As per DET Policy, enrolments for Foundation 2024 can now only be accepted for students living within our school zone or who have siblings currently enrolled at Kalinda.
