Introducing the one-stop shop for Careers information!
From term #4 the Collingwood Careers website will close and all students will be forwarded to the shared Collingwood College and Fitzroy High School resource.
This will be the ‘one stop shop’ for Collingwood College students wishing to make an appointment to meet with a careers practitioner and to access reliable and timely careers information.
The Wurun Careers website includes information about:
- How to apply for a job
- Senior pathway information including VCE, VCE VM and the VPC.
- Tertiary study options including TAFE and higher education
- Apprenticeship information
- How parents and carers can support career decision making
- A careers events guide including open days and webinars from education providers and industry
- Our own fortnightly Wurun Senior Campus careers newsletter
- “Make an appointment” functionality.

Year 9 RIJI Program
Please support your young people to finish their application for their Real Industry Job Interview (RIJI) experience. This program aims to give year 9 students an as authentic as possible experience at attending a job interview.
The interviews are due to take place on 13 October at Collingwood Town Hall with experienced volunteers from various industries.
Applications are due NOW. Students should liaise with their homegroup teacher for more information.
Year 10
It has been a big term for year 10s with subject selection panel interviews and pathways conversations as well as opportunity to reflect on recent work experiences.
Year 12
Please be reminded that there are deadlines approaching for those who wish to apply for tertiary study (TAFE or university) in 2023.
29 September: VTAC timely applications
A one-off application fee is required.
This fee is $44 if paid by 29 September . After this date, the fee increases to $126 until November and then another rise to $164.
To pay the fee, login to your VTAC account and list one preference in the course preferences section. This will enable the link to the payment process.
SEAS and scholarship applications
A reminder that students who submit their SEAS and Scholarships documentation by Friday 16 September will be guaranteed a review of their documents and VTAC will contact you if there are any problems with them, for example, if they are illegible or out of date.
This will give students time to resubmit documents before the final SEAS and Scholarships deadline of 5pm on 7 October.
All students are encouraged to complete the questions about remote learning under SEAS category 4 and also to select category 1.
Appointments are available in Term #4 if students wish to discuss their plans for 2023.
