Secondary Swimming

After months of training, the HCC team produced a fantastic effort at the Secondary Christian Schools Events Network Swimming Competition last Friday 18 March at MSAC Albert Park. Everyone enjoyed their day as they had a day of good competition. They put in their best effort, with plenty of encouragement and fun. 

Some highlights included the U18 girls relay came 2nd in both the medley and freestyle relay. Sam Utley won the U18 girls butterfly and came second in the 100m Freestyle. Olivia Pinkster came second in breaststroke. And.... we came 6th overall in the A division!

Now we are looking forward to the Secondary House Swimming Carnival which will be held at Noble Park Aquatic Centre on Friday 1 April. The house carnival is about having a go and encouraging one another and there is no pressure upon students to be amazing swimmers, but rather to "give it a go". The students are encouraged to get into house spirit by decorating themselves in their house colours. We are looking forward to a great day full of swimming, support, and fun!
