Year 12 Biology

Year 12 Biology students did a practical yesterday on gel electrophoresis. The technique is used to separate DNA of different lengths, and they investigated a family of four to see whether either of the children had sickle cell anaemia. The practical formed the basis of a SAC that will be held in the last week of term.
