Welcome!
Culture@KSC - new kids on the block....
It was Friday afternoon and the end of another solid and productive week in the classroom for many of our newly enrolled year 8-12 students at Koonung. So…. what better than a pizza lunch to share views on how life as a Koonung student has gone so far! We had an excellent response from our new students who were also given the option to bring a friend and enjoy the lunch provided. It was fantastic to see students from all over the country, and the globe for that matter, mixing and sharing their experiences at Koonung thus far. Sub school personnel and the principal staff were active in having conversations around support options and generally how all had settled, which was very pleasing. On behalf of the Koonung community, I would like to wish all our new students the very best of luck in their future endeavours at our great school and beyond.

Brendan Pinto
Hello, my name is Brendan Pinto and I am a mathematics and science teacher.
When I am not teaching, I enjoy listening to music, cooking, camping and spending time with my bulldog named Libba.
This term has been a busy one, however I am grateful for the Koonung Secondary College community who has made my transition to a new school an easy one. Enjoy the break!

Warren Yuen
I am a Legal Studies and Business Management teacher and am very excited to be part of the team at Koonung. I have been teaching for over a decade now, with experience in VCE and junior humanities subjects. Prior to my career in teaching, I practiced as a lawyer in a corporate law firm, and also worked in finance for several years at a Big 4 bank, including an international secondment in Singapore. Outside of school (when I am not too busy with my two kids at home) I am passionate about promoting multiculturalism in Australia as a leader within the Chinese Youth Society of Melbourne – if you see me dragon dancing in the local area, please come and say hello!
