YEAR 7 KIDS FOOD FOR KIDS PROGRAM

This morning, Year 7 Hannan made lunches for the Kids Food for Kids program. Each student in our PCG had to contribute $2 to buy the ingredients.

I was very grateful to take part in making food for the children at Koondoola Primary School. We made 50 lunches in PCG and all students took part. Each bag contained a sandwich with lots of fillings, long-life flavoured milk and an apple.

Thanks are due to Mr Anthony Pullella, College parent, for donating the apples, Bakers Delight in Mullaloo for the bread and the Home Economics Department. Also thanks to my mum, Mrs Angela Johns for helping us make the sandwiches and to Sebastian's mum Mrs Christel Magorian who delivered the lunches to Koondoola Primary School.

We were told that at least six to eight different children come to school each day without breakfast or lunch. We all felt so good afterwards because we knew that kids our age, who are not as fortunate as us, were getting the food they deserve.
