WINNING THE LAST SEVEN DAYS...

What an amazing week we have had - the RoboCup teams, under the mentorship of Mr Neil Gray, outstripped the opposition to dominate the Maze Rescue – again. While that’s impressive and the Year 10s are off to Adelaide for the Nationals next holidays, what was even more impressive was the Heart (in Sacred Heart) on display. Many teams struggled with the programming of their robot and spent the day reviewing and reworking. It’s always hard to do this when you thought you had it right at the outset and then something unexpectedly goes wrong. What I loved was seeing our students help other students from other teams and schools. It was more than a day of competitions – it was a day of self-challenge, teamwork and generosity as our students did themselves and Mr Gray proud.

On Tuesday night, Year 9 students Josie Hunt (O'Reilly), Angel Babu (Kimberley), Emily Logan (Carden) and Charlotte Selth (Carden) were announced the 2022 winners of Just Start IT with their business Face the Waste. They have already secured the services of a Californian based programmer who will make help build their app and make their dream into a reality. Under the wonderful mentorship of Mrs Tanya Atherton, our Sacred Heart students continue to shine.
