Heat bags

A student in our senior school has been busy helping to make these wonderful heat bags which are now for sale in the office. They are only $10.00 each and the money will go towards the senior fundraising (great Fathers Day gift idea).  Please order through Di in the office.

Chicken Names

Here is a list of name suggestions we have received for our chickens so far:

Fizer, Mederna, Corry, Rona, Astra, Zenica, Gladys, Dan, Bertha, Gretel, Maple, Waffles, Dixie, Mary, Rosemary, Sage, Ginger and Meg.

Thank you to those who have entered.  For those who haven't you have until Friday 3 September to get your entries in to the office, with your gold coin donation.  Di will draw the two names from a hat and the winning names will be published on our Facebook page and the next edition of the REAL News.

Science Week

This year's science week theme was all about food.  Students learned about bush tucker and how the first nations people of Australia found out what was good and not good to eat.  They watched videos, and got to sample some bush tucker.  Some students cooked damper.

Book week

The theme for book week this year is 'Old Worlds, New Worlds and Other Worlds'.  A number special activities were created for our students which included a colouring competition, dress up day and story sharing.

Wacky the Wombat’s Camp-out Challenge

Last year during remote learning, Yarrabah students participated in the camp out challenge.  It was a great success, so we are going to invite students to participate again this year.

Blackwood camp, where Yarrabah students have enjoyed many school camp adventures, is the brains behind this great initiative.  Click on the link below to find out how your children can participate.
