Family, friends and the Yarrabah community connect, share and relflect.

The Raising Children website has loads of information about how to cope during Covid 19 lockdowns.  The website provides information on where and how to find extra supports, how to care for yourself and how to talk to your children about Covid 19 and it's associated issues, such as why we wear masks, how to talk about our feelings and how to cope with the physical isolation. 

 

The following are links that your family can engage in to encourage mindfulness and relaxation.

 

Rainbow breath flow raise energy ready for the day

Belly BreathingExercise. It is fun when the parents /carers can join along with the kids.

A short yoga session for kids

Relaxing music  Can be used as background music or just as an after an activity relaxation break.

Go outside without shoes and socks (if it is safe and there are no sharp objects )and note what it feels like on your feet.  Try different textures such as grass, gravel, water, sand.
