DISCOVER Darebin Libraries (6 – 19 March)

Darebin Libraries are holding a two-week program full of free activities celebrating culture, community and lifelong learning.  There are plenty of events for school-aged children and families of all shapes and sizes. A few highlights include Wurundjeri Storytime, Vietnamese-English Bilingual Storytime, Youth Writing Lab, Youth Games Night, and lots of other opportunities for people to come together to relax, learn and connect.

Free Hearing & Vision Tests – Children Up to 6 Years

The Lions Club of Northcote, in conjunction with the University of Melbourne Audiology Clinic and Optometry Departments, has scheduled Hearing and Vision Screening Tests for children 3.5 – 6 years old. Testing is play-based and parents will be informed immediately and referred to their GP if hearing or vision abnormalities are detected.

  • When: Saturday 1 April
  • Time: 9am – 4pm
  • Where: Wales Street Primary School – entry and parking are from Clyde Street.

Parent Seminar – Strategies for Managing a Child’s Anxiety

Fear-Less Triple P supports parents to learn new strategies for managing their child’s anxiety. This seminar is for parents that are concerned about their child’s anxiety that would like to learn strategies they can put in place to support the wellbeing of their child and the family. Content is suited to parents or caregivers of children aged from 6 to 14 years.

Parkside Junior Football Club – Festival of Female Footy

Parkside Junior Football Club is hosting an event for female footy players on Sunday 26 March. The event is open to all girls born 2007 – 2015. Come along and meet current players and coaches, and register for the 2023 season.
