PFA
The PFA is an integral part of the school community and a great way to meet other parents. The funds raised by the PFA help support school projects, teachers and students.
The PFA is where all parents have a chance to share ideas about fundraisers and ways to benefit our children and our school.
If you have any questions regarding the PFA or would like to join please email p.f.a@oatlandsps.vic.edu.au All parents/carers are welcome to join, it’s never too late.
BOOKCLUB
The best gift any parent can give a child is the love of books and the joy and benefits of independent reading for fun. Children who read at home, or are read to, have a head start on reading success in school.
Going forward each class will be participating in Scholastic Book Club this year. Up to twice a term, during the school year, we will send home a Club catalogue with a different selection of books offered for all ages.
You’ll find award-winning books and bestsellers, as well as old and new favourites. We recommend them because the books span a wide range of children’s reading levels and interests and because they are inexpensive (some books cost as little as $2).
It is easy to order. The Book Club LOOP platform for parents allows you to pay by credit card. Your child’s order is submitted directly to school safe and sound and the books will be delivered to class. You can place your child’s order at scholastic.com.au/LOOP or using the LOOP app, which can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play.
The other benefit of Scholastic Book Club is that our school earns 20% in Scholastic Rewards on all Book Club orders to help them obtain free books and additional learning resources. However, there is never any obligation to order.
There is no better way to encourage reading than to allow children to choose the books they want to read.
We have processed the issue 4 orders and once they arrive at the school, we will distribute them as soon as we can. Fingers crossed this will be before the end of term.

Entertainment Book
School holidays are approaching and it’s a great time to get some deals by purchasing the Entertainment Book App. There is a lot of 2 for 1 offers for activities and dining.
This year the P.F.A. are raising money for our School, please help us achieve our goal by purchasing your Entertainment Membership from us.
The price is $69.99 for a single city or $119.99 for a Multi city membership and Oatlands Primary School receives 20% from every Membership sold so tell your family and friends to support us as well.
