Year 10

We wish all the best to Mrs Trish Moloney who is out of action this month recovering from major shoulder surgery. We hope to see her soon and she is able to get “back on the horse” so to speak over the summer break!

It has been a whirlwind final term for our Year 10 students as they all demonstrated flexibility and gusto with a mixture of remote and onsite learning right before sitting their Semester 2 exams. Congratulations to all Year 10 students for being dedicated and persistent in their studies and finishing off the term strongly.

2022 VCAL Program

During this time, our 2022 VCAL students have also been busy finding work placements and finalising their TAFE VET Certificates and we thank Mrs Melanie Marsh who has supported this process. It will be a new adventure for our Year 10 students heading into VCAL next year and getting used to a changing environment attending TAFE and heading into the workplace one day a week while attending classes here at the College for three days a week.

Peer Support

I want to thank Mary Tobin, Yuhan Huang and Sienna Koop who have been Peer Support Leaders this year. They met Ms Sue Grima and me to prepare a presentation to the current Year 9 students to promote and recruit Peer Support Leaders for 2022. They spoke to the Year 9 students from home via MS Teams and spoke about the rewarding experience of being a leader and how much fun they had working with our Year 7 students. We also look forward to working with a number of Year 10 students who have, once again, volunteered their time to be Peer Support Leaders for a second year in 2022.

Matilda the Musical

We want to wish all the Year 10 students involved in Matilda the Musical all the very best for the production with three performances till to go. They have continued to rehearse and have demonstrated amazing organisational skills, supporting each other through a very busy few weeks. They were finishing all their course work, studying for their exams all whilst continuing to attend rehearsals after school and on weekends.
