Duke of Edinburgh Award

The Year 8 students have been introduced to the Duke of Edinburgh Award and students who are interested have been asked to sign up via a Google form that was emailed to them all. This does not guarantee participation in this program and students who are unsure will have the opportunity to sign up at the beginning of next year.

The powerpoint shown to students is available to view here.

Sport

As another year draws to a close we would like to congratulate all the students for their sporting efforts throughout the year.

The House Athletics carnival at Duncan McKinnon was a great success with high levels of participation and amazing energy across all year levels.

A second at the Division 1 SCSA Swimming Carnival was our highest finish in a long time (maybe our highest ever!) and our seniors started the year on fire, taking out the Tennis, Badminton and Indoor Cricket trophies.

After such a promising start it was disappointing again that many sports were unable to be held and we await the results of our Aerobics team who worked hard to learn the routine while remote and submitted their entries last week.

A massive THANK YOU to all the staff who have supported this program throughout the year. We especially thank those who gave up their own time before school, at recess, lunch and after school to provide such great opportunities for our students. We really appreciate your support.

We would also like to acknowledge Jaime Wallace and Amanda Flynn who have been a huge part of the Kilbreda Sport Program throughout their time at the College. We will miss their passion and expertise enormously, but wish them all the best for their future.

Thank you, also to our AFL trainee, Maddie Mead, who has been an integral part of our team this year. We thank Maddie for the contribution she has made to the Sport and Duke of Edinburgh Award program and wish her well in her future endeavours.
