Amazing results for Edgars Creek Secondary College in 2019 Language Perfect World Championships

Our students did a fantastic job representing the school during the recent 2019 Language Perfect World Championships. They competed against 1,644 schools worldwide and answered 94,000 questions over seven days which is an incredible effort for a small school. ECSC overall results:

• 1st for Spanish in Australia in the 101-250 students category (out of 173 schools)
• 4th for Spanish in Victoria (out of 192 schools)
• 9th for Spanish in Australia (out of 727 schools)
• 24th for Spanish overall globally for Spanish (out of 1,054 schools)
• 1st for Russian in the global 101 – 250 students category (out of 103 schools)
• 3rd for Arabic in Victoria (out of 156 schools)
• 231st  overall globally for all languages (out of 1,644 schools)

At an individual level, our Year 7 students dominated across the school to take out the top awards. 

• Emerald Award (over 5,000 points):

  • Samreen (3rd place, Year 7) 
• Gold Award (over 3,000 points):
