                       The Great Book Swap

The SRC students along with the have been busy these last two weeks preparing for the Great Book Swap. The annual event is run to raise much needed funds for the Indigenous Literacy Foundation.

We were placed in the Yirrikipayi Community which is celebrated by the Crocodile.

Students and staff were asked to donate books during our collection drive with books being sold for a gold coin donation.

The book sale went really well with students and staff eagerly snapping up some must reads for the upcoming holidays.

The SRC students have also been selling cans of drink during our Pizza celebration week to contribute to our donation.

We are proud to say that we have raised a total of $324.30

With this money the Indigenous Literacy Foundation will be able to purchase over 30 book packs for remote Indigenous communities.

Congratulations ECSC for doing your best to close the gap of Indigenous Literacy!
