Rose Room What Happened in February
Lily Room What Happened in February?, What a fantastic February we had in the Lily Room! To begin with we are fostering the confidence of each child to enter the room and separate from their parents or family member., Lots of activities were planned to help each child's learning. Experiences has been set up to allow for solitary and interactive play, many sensory experiences enable children to explore their senses and also help children to calm their emotions as needed like sand pit play., Group time has been lots of fun. We sang familiar songs and some new songs as well. We did some planned activities related to that song like star glitter stamping for the song Twinkle twinkle little star., We are in the process of creating a photo wall which will display photos of the children and their families. We are asking all our parents  to please bring in a photo of your family to help our 'self identity journey'. We are also asking parents to send us at least 2 goals for your child according to their age so we can work together. We can achieve the learning outcome when educators work in partnership with families. Trust and mutual understanding between family and educators is the real secret of children's happy learning., We are so excited and looking forward to the many days ahead of watching and scaffolding your children in learning while they play. , If you have any question please feel free to come and see your educators Meena and Saba.

Sunflower Room What Happened in February, Dear Families,, The children in the sunflower room have been engaging in a variety of activities ranging from the popular cooking experiences, outdoor gross motor play and creative art. , We kick started the season of autumn by discussing about the colours of autumn, singing 'Autumn leaves are falling down' and engaging in art work based on the theme. As a result of these discussions, the children have been collecting dry leaves from the yard and talking about the seasonal changes. , Currently the children are exhibiting a huge interest in counting and we will be scaffolding on their interests. We are also preparing for the cultural diversity week. , That's for the latest happenings in the sunflower room and please feel free to contact us if you have any queries., Kind regards,, Andrea & Jayantha

We are so determined to keep children interested in this and really hope we can extend this into a large class project., We can’t wait to see what the rest of the term brings, -Alicia and Melissa 😊

Sunshine Sessional 4 Year Old Welcome to Kinder, It is amazing to see how your children are settling into the Sunshine Kinder room. The children have begun to develop skills and concepts of taking turns, being responsible, following instructions and cooperating within a group environment.Including parents into our programme , The children and teachers love having parents included in our sessions. This can include playing with us, reading a story, maybe you could share a special talent or interest with us, playing a musical instrument, cooking, dancing, handicrafts, art or gardening., Our Project, We have started our first project ‘healthy eating’. The purpose of this project is to promote healthy eating and meet the requirements of "NQF: The national law, the national regulations and the NQS- Healthy eating and physical activity are promoted and appropriate for children." , This project will help the children to understand the food’s role in their body, what food are healthy and unhealthy, and the five healthy food groups., Thank you, Lawry, Jade, and Chathu
