What Happened in February?

What a fantastic February we had in the Lily Room! To begin with we are fostering the confidence of each child to enter the room and separate from their parents or family member.

Lots of activities were planned to help each child's learning. Experiences has been set up to allow for solitary and interactive play, many sensory experiences enable children to explore their senses and also help children to calm their emotions as needed like sand pit play.

Group time has been lots of fun. We sang familiar songs and some new songs as well. We did some planned activities related to that song like star glitter stamping for the song Twinkle twinkle little star.

We are in the process of creating a photo wall which will display photos of the children and their families. We are asking all our parents  to please bring in a photo of your family to help our 'self identity journey'. We are also asking parents to send us at least 2 goals for your child according to their age so we can work together. We can achieve the learning outcome when educators work in partnership with families. Trust and mutual understanding between family and educators is the real secret of children's happy learning.

We are so excited and looking forward to the many days ahead of watching and scaffolding your children in learning while they play.
