Blossom Room

What Happened in February
Another fantastic month of laughter, development and fun in the Blossom room. Thanks to the families for sharing your child’s short term goal with us. We are focusing a lot on self-help skills and social/emotional development, guiding the Blossoms through playing with peers as well as sharing with in group experiences. It's an ongoing learning experience, but we were very happy to see children have started using their words to interact with others and expressing their feelings.
Partnership with Families and communities
A huge thanks to Jiya’s grandmother who came for Valentine day and spent quality time with the children. She brought some fabric for the children. Children pasted on heart shape cutting and created master pieces for their family. Children gave big cuddles and card to Jiya’s grandmother and said,” Thank you”.
Celebrations
Throughout the month of February, the children have been participating in a range of different art creations to celebrate Valentine day. This week we read the book “The things I love about Friends" and talked about our friends and why we love spending time with them. The children are beginning to form some great friendships with their peers!!
Our Valentine’s Day celebration has given us an opportunity to introduce children to the concept of expressing their feelings for someone they care about.
We also had Yummy and delicious afternoon tea of pancake on Shrove Tuesday.
