Bradman Retreat

Bradman Retreat
The year 11’s from the Bradman Cluster traveled to Anglesea for their retreat on Thursday March 7. After arriving on camp, they wasted no time in getting involved in all the activities on offer. From archery, bike riding, high ropes and low ropes, the students had ample opportunities to step out of their comfort zones and try something new. Night was a more reflective time where students had the opportunity to make rosary beads and do some mindful colouring. They also had a cluster trivia to end the evening.
The second day saw a chance for students to reflect on and discuss their transition into CRC Sydenham with their homerooms. They were also very fortunate to hear a talk from Michelle Newland, who had her whole life turned around after suffering a severe asthma attack at the age of 19. Her story of courage was very inspiring for the students who definitely learnt the value of faith in the face of suffering. They ended the retreat with a mass celebrated by Father Maurie before returning back to school.
Overall, the experience was beneficial for all of the year 11 Bradman students who are now a much closer cohort.
We would like to thank all of the staff who contributed to making our retreat as valuable and enriching as it could be.
