BOOK BUY

On Monday 11 November, McKinnon’s Book Club members had an exciting opportunity to browse the latest new releases and make selections for the library collection. Local booksellers Benn’s Books visited the school with boxes of handpicked new titles.

Approximately 15 book club members attended along with Gim Gibbs and Deirdre Robertson. It was great to get student input into suggestions for new books.

HOLIDAY BORROWING

Students will once again be able to borrow books over the holidays. Holiday borrowing will start after Monday 3 December. To borrow students must return all items still on loan. Students can access the library catalogue, Oliver, to check their current loans and see new titles. If the book you want is out on loan, it can be reserved. When it is returned you will be notified to come and collect it.

SUMMER READING

We have finally seen some glimpses of summer with a few bursts of hot and sunny weather. With summer almost here library staff have selected fiction titles with summer themes for the latest library display.

We currently have a trolley of new books in the library ready for students to browse.
