Student News

A huge congratulations to Year 12 student Poppy Austin on placing 4th in the U20 Girls’ Cross country national championships held in Oakbank, South Australia last weekend. An amazing result and great reward for her dedication to hours and hours of training. Representing Team Victoria, they placed 2nd overall. Poppy is now off to Canberra in January to try out for World Cross country championships.  We are right behind you Poppy and will be cheering on!

Clay Target Shooting

Last Thursday, the College Clay target Shooting Team headed to the 2022 Noorat South West Zone School Clay Target Championship against 300 students from across Victoria. It seemed that the heavens opened up as soon as our squads went to shoot. To their credit our shooters did an amazing job of shooting in heavy rain and high winds.

Our novices really stepped up their skill level and our more experienced shooters set a brilliant example of sportsmanship and accuracy. Our Shooting Captain, Fraser Diprose, took out Overall High Gun. Jordy Brown and Elizabeth Diprose obtained 2nd and 3rd respectively in Senior Girls. All three students will travel to Echuca next Monday to compete in the VCTA School Student Championships.

I would like to thank all the parents who came to support our students. Without them we would not be able to grow and develop in the sport we love.
