Leadership and teamwork are underpinned by qualities such as supporting others and doing the best you can, which are values the ADF shares with the broader community.
Two of our students have been recognised for their exemplary demonstration of these values and show great promise in becoming tomorrow’s leaders.

The George Petrou Memorial Award - presented by the Petrou Family
George Petrou attended Cheltenham Secondary College from Year 7 through to Year 12 in 2006. George was recognised several times for his consistent, positive effort across all his subjects and his exemplary approach to classwork and good college citizenship. George always involved himself with different activities over his six years at the College especially soccer which was his passion. On May 9 2009 George was tragically killed in a high-speed collision in nearby Clarinda. Through this award, the Petrou family, friends and relatives would like to send a strong message to the College students and community, to please take care on the roads. This award is given to a student in year 11 or 12 who works to the best of their ability in all classes and has made a positive contribution to the college as an all-rounder, by participating in a range of activities.
