Careers News
Careers Week
ASC celebrated Careers Week during Week 3, culminating in a whole-school Careers Dress-up Day last Friday. It was very pleasing to see so many people participating and commemorating our working life.
Mrs Hardman is currently sorting through hundreds of entries in the Careers Interviews competition and the Photobooth competition ... results to be shared soon! Browse through the photo gallery below to see some of the amazing costumes:
Earlier in the week, Year 12 students joined in the spirit by dressing up as some of their dream careers.
A big thankyou to our Ezidi students who cooked and served lunch for all ASC students and staff on Friday; as well as a massive shout out to all at UNE HEPP for providing funding for the lunch.
It was also marvellous to see so many teachers dressing up for the day.
A much deserving thank you is extended to Mrs Hardman for her energy and enthusiasm, together with her team of students and staff assisted in preparing for the day.
Exploring Health
We have been fortunate to participate in an informative virtual health webinar presented by the UNE New England Rural Club for Health Alliance (NERCHA) for all our budding health professionals. The presentation provided insight into the different career opportunities within the health sector, including the personal career stories shared by some presenters.
It was a great morning, with students dressing up to look the part and NERCHA providing a lovely morning tea.
